Persimmons Bar and Grill is a destination for golfers and locals alike. Come experience exceptional food and beverages at our Grapevine restaurant. The culinary options at Persimmons Bar & Grill are prepared with grande fierte (great pride) by French Chef, Nicolas (Nico) Weugue.

Nico is from the city of Lyons in France (one of the major gastronomic cities in France, actually). His formal culinary training began at a young age with an Italian chef (specializing in pizzas and pasta dishes), and with a Slovenian chef with whom he studied gastronomic foods from England, France, and Italy. Nico also learned from a home filled with family members who loved to cook – and years of practicing and experimenting on his own.

Nico shared – “I feel like I have mastered making pizzas, and pasta, and I love dishes with sauce, so I make all kinds of sauces, and I am able to make all kinds of food at Persimmons. We prepare Italian, French, and Mexican dishes, and I am starting to prepare more Mediterranean dishes as well.” Nico’s favorite dish is tomate farçie, and his favorite American fare is steaks. Nico was clear that it’s not barbeque for him, this man likes T-bones, ribeyes, tomahawks, and New York strips. When Nico is not preparing incredible dishes at Persimmon’s Bar & Grill, he is studying for his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, and Management – and spending time with his new bride.
